Michel Gondry's greatest film
To be honest, I thought the Science of Sleep was kind of dumb and boring.
Chapelle's Block Party was lots of fun, but a bit bougie for my rapmovie tastes.
And Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was just a sappy rom-com version of Total Recall without the three-titted mutant spacewhores.
In other words, I thought Michel Gondry was an overhyped, moderately talented music video director who tricked a bunch of hipster Americans into think he was the shit.
I was wrong.
Here is the film which to me says all you need to know about Michel Gondry's talent as a director. It's a very simple short film but the genius is all there on display:
