False Idol

Bo was robbed. Carrie Underwood will be opening for Mary Chapin Carpenter in a year if she's lucky. Bo had star power. He had the rock star power stance. He bore a striking resemblence to traditional renderings of Jesus Christ. How can America be so foolish?

Update: The post-mortem begins. Oregoninan sports columnist and Oprah-slash-Reality TV fanboy, John Canzano blames redialing senior citizens. My theory is that this predictable little mini-scandal finally bubbled up into the mainstream (in American Idol terms the "mainstream" consists entirely of people who populate American Idol internet message boards and fansites.)
