Kemp Watch Part 2 [Updated]

Okay, first of all, how dope is this? Motherfucker is my hero! Who knew etch-a-sketching could lead to meeting NBA superstars!?!? Like Shawn Kemp! I'm going to have to step my game up. Check this one out. I'm totally humbled.

From the Blazer Blog, it looks like Shawn Kemp is having a yardsale. Says here, he was a patron of the arts:

Artwork priced as high as $10,000 was added to the home after Kemp sold the property. But artwork left from when Kemp owned the home was selling briskly for $75 to $400 on Tuesday, Crandall said.

"People buy art by taste, not by price," she explained. "If they like it, they buy it."

If it was good enough for Shawn Kemp, it's good enough for me. I'll be scouring ebay for the next few days looking for prime pieces of the Kemp collection. If anybody has any leads, email me.

*Update: Nevermind. Turns out it was some scheisty white guy trying to make bank off Shawn Kemp's gooder than gold name. Even the art wasn't his:

The sale began Tuesday and continues through Saturday. Artwork by Bob Byerley and a grand piano had already sold for $10,000 each, but his mother said they didn't belong to Kemp.

"Shawn never had a piano in his life. That was not his," Barbara Kemp said. "There was some artwork there, but nothing that we bought."
