Hurricane Screenplay Ideas

Is that wrong? What? Don't give me that look...

First, after Katrina I heard about Carnival Cruises moving in cruise ships to act as shelters. Right. So in this movie, that's exactly what happens, only in the rush and chaos of the evactuations, international terrorists take over the ship and try to sail to Cuba or Egypt or whatever and on the way they get hit by another storm. A rag tag band of evacuees including looters, old people, children and a pregnant lady join forces to take back the ship and save the day. In one scene an old New Orleans blues man (James Earl Jones please...) who left with only beat up guitar uses it to beat a terrorist lackey over the head.

Second. I just heard that the hurricane scattered a few thousand registered sex offeneders into various shelters. This one's a little half-baked but I'm thinking it's about a rape victim working for the Red Cross who sees her attacker briefly getting on a bus and she goes on a personal mission to track him down and keep him from harming someone else (maybe he's with a young girl or something) while her co-workers think she's crazy/unprofessional.
