They're Playin' Basketball
Have you been watching the playoffs? I can't cuz I don't have cable but when I have been able to see a quarter or two I have been utterly captivated. This is the best NBA playoff race I've ever seen. Nearly every series and almost every game has been compelling and impressive. Did you see Lebron ice Gilbert Arenas at the free throw line by whispering in his ear? Did you see the Clippers and the Suns go to double OT thanks to completely improbable mistakes by both sides? Did you see Dirk and Dallas nearly stomp out San Antonio's dynastic dreams only to see them crawl back to life? If not you're missing out. At this point, with seven teams (Miami, Detroit, Cleveland, Dallas, San Antonio, LA Clips, and Pheonix) left I still have no clue who will win it all. Could easily be anyone of them. It's unbelievable. This is the start of a great new era of parity in the NBA. Before there were two or three elite teams with one or two stars per. Now no team is unbeatable and nearly every team can go all the way if the stars align. And there are a ton of young superstars waiting in the wings to make contenders out of everyone from Charlotte to even the pathetic Atlanta Hawks and Toronto Raptors.
But seriously, watch all these series right now. These are the great matchups. If you wait till the finals, it'll probably be anti-climactic.
