Reed Theater
Mike Pape's thesis show is really quite good. I was surprised. He'd tired to explain it to me once at a party and I have to say it sounded really dumb. But when it all came together, it was better than a lot of the professional stuff I've seen with Alison recently. This one's called "flower peddler" and it's playing tonight, tomorrow and I think saturday at the Reed Theater. Call (503)-777-7357 I think for reservations. Sunday, I'm going to defunkt's "Hyacinth McCaw". I'll write dueling reviews next week. Plus, this'll be a good time to do Mike's awesome brush with fame. I'll give you a guess: He's 7-1 and he's tons of fun!

Yes Eliot, we've seen some abysmal productions together. The bar in this town is pretty freakin' low.
Could anything top that production about women travelling through time? Played by men?
yeah... the one elliot and i just saw (hyacinth macaw) was similiar to the shitty time travel play in that it was competently produced but the script really didn't deserve the time or energy it got. however hyacinth macaw was far more difficult to sit through, mostly because there were like 10 people in the audience so the cast members could actually see me falling asleep, as opposed to the time travel play where we could nap/fidgit/say snide things w/out being noticed
